The students went to shyambhu area on 11th October for plantation. The space was provided by shyambhu conservation and promotion committee. They planted 60 plants in total. They planted the local species of plant since shyambhu is one of the world cultural heritage and hence we need to maintain our identity. The plants include sallo, kaiyo, kapoor, dhupi, chilaune and jakaranda. The plant was provided by the department of forestry. Plantation campaign was launched in an effort to fight against the global challenge of climate change. Students got an opportunity to know the varied species of local plants and collected the experience of plantation. They took this campaign as an opportunity to express their solidarity against climate change. Since the students were working against climate change, this campaign help them to achieve their objective.
After the plantation was over, there was a review programme. Every students participated in the review programme. They shared their experience of one week social work which was exciting, new, interesting and fruitful in their own word despite some pitfalls in time management and weather conditions.
